About Petter Nilsson

Petter Nilsson (born 1985) is a Swedish painter originally from Örebro. After studying at the Örebro Art School (Örebro Konstskola), he held his debut exhibition in 2008 and subsequently moved to Stockholm, participating in over 50 exhibitions across Sweden.

His work, often in large formats, is heavily influenced by a background in graffiti, resulting in colorful and visually effective pieces. While his style once leaned purely abstract, it has evolved to incorporate more recognizable elements.

Nilsson's art frequently explores fictional landscapes that are clearly impacted by a changing climate. He draws references from both art history and scientific illustration, creating atmospheric works that question humanity's relationship with the natural world. He is now based in his hometown of Örebro as part of an artist collective.
